Learning English Through Music
Learning English doesn’t always have to be serious or boring. For me, one of the best ways to learn is through music. English songs have helped me improve my pronunciation, vocabulary, and listening skills in a fun way. When I listen to songs, I don’t feel like I’m studying I feel relaxed and happy.
At first, I started by listening to slow songs so I could understand the lyrics easily. I used to pause and replay lines to catch the correct pronunciation. Later, I began to write down new words and look up their meanings. Through this method, I learned everyday phrases and expressions that people use in real conversations. For example, songs like “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran and “Count on Me” by Bruno Mars taught me how to express love, friendship, and emotions in English.
Singing along also helped me with my accent and rhythm. I practiced the words again and again until I could sing smoothly. I noticed that my speaking became clearer and more natural. Music also connected me to different cultures I learned about festivals, traditions, and feelings shared by people all over the world. It showed me that English can bring people together through art and emotion.
English songs are listened to all around the world. From Sri Lanka to America, people enjoy the same music even if their first language is different. This shows that English music is a bridge between cultures and hearts.
